Joane Goulding is the original creator
of the SleepTalk™ for Children process, and she has been travelling the
world, teaching this programme in the UK, Spain, Singapore, as well ask
her homeland Australia. Joane was a Keynote speaker, talking about
the process, at the New Zealand Hypnotherapy Federation Conference a few

Goulding SleepTalk™ process, firstly to hypnotherapists and hypnotherapy
students who want to become Accredited SleepTalk™ Consultants.

to offer you, other hypnotherapists, and hypnotherapy students, this opportunity.
This will be the first complete SleepTalk™ training course ever held in

will be teaching you the initial process that you will be able to add to
your skills, and start working with clients (parents and caregivers).

Stress
Down the Drain Technique Video by William C. Smith, BCH,
CI
About William Before becoming a Hypnotist, I was
in the Corporate World for many years.
Sometimes when I'm asked what I do
for a living, people look at me funny when I say "I haven't worked in over
15 years." The reason I say that is very simple. I don't consider
what I do as being "work".
There are so many rewards from helping
others change their lives in positive ways. I enjoy being in my office.
I set my own hours – I don't get up until 10 AM – so please don't call
me before then, I may not be fully awake. I don't like wearing a tie -
so I don't! But most importantly, I enjoy the people I choose to work with.
Since joining the NGH, I've become
a Board Certified Hypnotist and a Certified Instructor. My specialties
are Sports Hypnosis, Wellness and Health, Personal Coaching, and Anger
Control Coaching.

This
Means That! The Subconscious Hidden Secret. From Aaron McLoughlin In NLP their are things called Meta
Models. They are models that are like umbrellas to the way we think. Meta
models often define our interpretations of the world and how we feel and
behave.
A powerful model is the "This
means That". This is a powerful model because of the hidden
secret within your subconscious mind.
You see, it goes like this: 'The
sun is shining and that means it is a great day.' There is actually
no connection between the sun shining and it being a great day, and yet
your subconscious mind does not know this. Because the first statement
is true the subconscious mind will generally take the second statement
as true.
Here is why you need to know this:
The stream of suggestions coming towards you like a freight train without
a driver is constantly using the "This means That" model
to communicate directly with your subconscious.
It was also recently noted that President
Obama used significant amounts of hypnosis in his speeches - and the prevalent
strategy he used to 'put his point across' without conflict, was the "This
means That" strategy.
"You are here tonight. You are listening
to me tonight. You want change. And this means that you will vote for change,
you will vote for me.
You see, many people would not know
what is going on here because this is the new language of the media and
of politics. Please, this is not new and yet it is now being used in advertising,
politics and corporate promotions. It is so powerful because as you continue
to read, you know you are reading and that means you are identifying with
these words and they are making sense to you.
This information is here to give
you strategies to take control of your life. When you understand that the
media for example is using this model, you will be able to deconstruct
the words and feelings and make your own value judgments and decisions
rather than being dictated to.
Now, many of the ways it is done
are not as clear cut as the examples I have written here today. For example.
The subconscious mind develops beliefs from a repeated stream of suggestions
aligned with compelling emotions. If these suggestions are in the form
of images or music, then those images and sounds are associated with the
words or viewpoints. If these images are layered over and over as is on
CNN or Fox or even the hour of news in the evening, then the mind will
begin to take these suggestions on board.
"This means That" comes
into play when we switch on the TV. Switch to CNN and because there is
predominantly a weak, powerless energy, the mind will think that being
on CNN means it is weak and powerless.
In LA at the beginning of the year
I was fascinated by the huge number of drug commercials between the news
items. There was a very subtle "This means That" where the
news meant that you can make yourself feel better with drugs.
The nature of hypnosis is a constant
repetition of a suggestion aligned with compelling emotions. When language
is powerful and is subtly using structures that influence the mind and
body, it is so important for the viewer to know what is happening.
So how to fix this:
Be conscious of what you are watching.
Be aware of your feelings and thoughts
relating to what you are watching.
Do these thoughts/feeling empower you?
Watch for the This means That formula.
Use this formula for you own benefit:
"I am watching the news and that means
I am inspired to know what is right for me"
"I feel angered by this information
and that means I am empowered to make a difference now"
"The sun is shining and that means..."
"I am overwhelmed and this means I am
building more strength and resilience for the future."
As you can see this can be very powerful
and in your hands it can make the difference between thinking and feeling
strong or being overwhelmed by stuff that is not yours... Other peoples
stuff.

Proof
that New Year’s Resolutions are REAL! Sent in by Dave Mason of www.hypknowsis.com Google Trends is an application
that tracks how many searches are made for different keywords. The data
for the search term ‘hypnotherapy’ shows an interesting pattern over several
years.
There is a clear pattern of fewer
searches in November and December each year, followed by a spike in late
January.
It is tempting to interpret this
as the effect of failed New Year Resolutions. The down and up pattern certainly
matches the number of enquiries I get at that time of year.
There is also a general downward
trend evident in the overall number of searches, Plus something strange
is going on this year. The expected uptick in searches did not happen.
Maybe the recession is impacting on discretionary spending? Your guess
is as good as mine.
