Comments
The big news for this month is that
my
new book is finished! It's all printed and now available from my
websites! Whew what a mission - but what a buzz to finally have several
boxes full in my office ready to send out. Actually I've already
nearly emptied the first box with all the pre-release orders, so many of
you will already be reading my take on Modern Suggestive Hypnotherapy!

Also, my last 5 day course for 2009
(September 7th - 11th) is filling up well now and looks like another fine
group of potential new Hypnotherapists will be looking to enter the profession.
There is more info on that below too.
Next month (September) the HYPNOTES
will likely be a little later than usual, so I apologise in advance. The
first half will be absolutely hectic and I hope to meet up with many of
you my new and old friends at either the Auckland NZHF Conference or the
Sydney AHA World Hypnotherapy Conference. I think I probably owe
a few people a drink!

The 20th century authoritarian styles
of Hypnotherapy are being met with more and more suspicion, cynicism and
distrust nowadays and, in his experience, are being superseded by more
direct and rapid fixes, featuring more input from the client and less control
by the Hypnotherapist.

the concept of the higher-self as it has been understood previously and
how it can be used successfully with hypnotherapy to create significant,
positive changes in an individual's life. It will also introduce practical
techniques and scripts to engage the higher self and examine modern psychological
interpretations of the concept. Traditionally the higher self, or transpersonal
self is associated with multiple belief systems i.e. Buddhism, Hinduism,
Shamanism and with an eternal, conscious and intelligent being. The term
has been referred to by many of history's mystics and visionaries. It is
considered to be spiritual in nature.

for Presenters - The Hypnosummit
Dear Colleague, in March of this
year Scott Sandland and I launched the first virtual hypnosis continuing
educational conference, the HypnoSummit. It was an astounding success!
Even we underestimated the hypnosis/NLP professional's hunger for quality
continuing education on a convenient schedule.
People took off from work so as not
to miss a single lecture. They stayed up late and got up early.
They were glued to their computer screens for as many hours as they could
stay awake. It was exciting and fresh. It also filled a void
in hypnosis/NLP information sharing and education. When the videos
came down from the servers three weeks later attendees were still asking

will air Sept. 19th and 20th, 2009 from 8am to 12pm (midnight) Eastern
Time with a special one-half day workshop on the 21st. You are being
invited to submit a proposal for a1 hour lecture (45-59 minutes) and/or
a two hour workshop. **Please understand that previous presenters will
be given priority on two hour workshops. You can only be considered for
a two hour workshop if all the slots are not filled by previous presenters.**
Presentations can be done by streaming
live video (a lot easier than you think it is) or pre-recorded video. By
pre-recording your presentation you can effectively clone yourself and
be in two places at one time. You can be holding a live workshop
in the middle of Kansas and presenting across the world all at the same
instant. If you desire to do your presentation live the equipment
cost are in the $150 range. If you have a Mac, you already have this
capability.
Deadline for proposal submission
