That means two things: It's Christmas in 3 weeks - and I'll be 55 even
sooner! How the year and years fly when you're having fun! Seasons greetings
to one and all - and thanks to all those who have already wished me and
my family well for the festive season.

The NZAPH training day held in Christchurch
recently was a great success, with many NZAPH members and many HNZ students
attending the informative day. It was great to re-meet people that
have attended my past courses and finally meet those I've previously only
had contact with by phone or email.

The
Time Line of Christmas Past, Present and Future.
We all remember the scenes from the
classic tale of 'A Christmas Carol', where Scrooge is visited by the ghosts
of Christmas Past, Present and Future and we can all remember when our
own Christmas pasts were not so great or we were meaner than we could have
been but now as our Christmas future rapidly becomes our Christmas Present,
I suggest we take the time to ask ourselves what kind of festive period
we want and remember that it doesn't have to be about extravagant gifts
but it could be about extravagant kindness, rich with fun and laughter.
That we take the time to give thanks
for all that we have had in our year, from our health, our friends and
family. That we, whatever our past thoughts and feelings about Christmas
are, that they can be different and that we can see and feel a time of
connection to those closest to us and hope that others are feeling the
same way too. That we can give when we can give and receive easily
and joyfully. It is time to do some time-line therapy and change
our coming future towards where we want it to be rather than where we expect
it be.

The 2010 National Hypnotherapy Conference Weekend and Award Dinner will
be held on 28th - 29th August, in Auckland. We have already confirmed
Gary Johnson (Aust) who will be conducting a workshop on Post Traumatic
Stress Disorder, and other high level anxiety disorders. He will also share
with delegates some of the (pro bono) work he is doing with the victims
of the devastating Victorian fires which occurred earlier this year.

given Lifetime Achievement Award in honour of his many contributions. Steve
studied directly with Dr. Milton H. Erickson for many years and is known
widely for his neo-Ericksonian approach which incorporates his own work
on self-relations.

Trance Camp is open to anyone seriously
interested in generative personal change and altered states of consciousness.
This one or two week journey into the self is an experiential community
for learning and experiencing trance while incorporating other consciousness-enhancing
tools into practice. During Trance Camp, you will experience and learn
a variety of skills allowing a new connection to self and personal transformation.
