Grant's Comments
Well June certainly was a whirlwind! It started of course with my latest 5 Day Practical Hypnotherapy Course and the NZAPH conference in Taupo, then it got busy!

Soon after I released the June edition of this newsletter, I had the pleasure of a week in the sun of Rarotonga with my wife and enjoyed the laidback lifestyle immensely. (Only checking email 3 times a day!) Then back to the reality of a New Zealand winter and a stack of inquiries, orders, questions and bookings to 'ease' me back into work-mode - and a massive overhaul and rebranding exercise. My Hypnosis New Zealand website is now 'greener' and my Hypnosis World website is now sporting a brand new payment processing system to speed up and simplify the ordering and fulfillment processes.

And then, the most exciting development is that my new book Modern Suggestive Hypnotherapy for Professionals is now in the publishers hands!  All is on track for next month's release. Find out below how to pre-order a copy at a generous discount from the new webpage.

Also, my last 5 day course for 2009 is confirmed for September 7th - 11th this year. (Early bird discount applies until the end of July)  This course is slotting in nicely between the NZHF conference in Auckland and the AHA conference in Sydney. I hope to see many of you in Sydney at my presentation on Modern Suggestive Hypnotherapy.

That's the July comments. Please enjoy the content of this HYPNOTES - and let me know of any news or events for the August edition.

MODERN SUGGESTIVE HYPNOTHERAPY
I believe that the time has come for those of us who are professional Hypnotherapists, to embrace the differences in the modern client by adapting our methods to match today's more intelligent and analytical minds. The 21st century client is much more likely to ask more questions and therefore be better informed about the mechanics of Hypnosis, Hypnotherapy, trance and suggestion.  They know they cannot be made to do anything they object to - and they know that they have ultimate control over any change.  So if they want to change and are willing to accept your help in facilitating that change, then any change is more likely to be more rapid and lasting.

With those thoughts, and with many years of trials and testing of techniques under my belt, I have steadily and progressively developed and enhanced the very mechanical, simple and effective style of traditional Suggestive Hypnotherapy so that it fits better with the needs of the modern client and is very satisfying to practice. Modern Suggestive Hypnotherapy is the result! It's simple, it's effective and it's safe!

I am now sharing my style of Modern Suggestive Hypnotherapy with all who'd like to learn about it, by several options:

MODERN SUGGESTIVE HYPNOTHERAPY
The New Book for Professionals
Modern Suggestive Hypnotherapy for ProfessionalsModern Suggestive Hypnotherapy for Professionals is the product of more than 15 years practical experience in the field of hypnosis. Contained within the pages of this book is a collection of my opinions, observations, experiences and thoughts.

Available soon: Modern Suggestive Hypnotherapy for Professionals, Grant Boddington's new book of "Practical Skills for 21st Century Hypnotherapists".

Visit the new webpage and find out how to pre-order a copy before July 31st and save!

Sue Leech Features on Gloss Magazine Video
A couple of months ago I was approached by Je t'aime Lilli Hayr of Gloss online magazine to add to their health and wellness section, to spread the word on how Hypnotherapy can help with resolving past trauma and experiences both emotional and physical.  After the interview Je t'aime had a session with me so she could experience hypnotherapy herself.

Read the Article and Watch the Video
Here is the link to see what happened http://www.gloss.co.nz/Health/Wellness/Hypnotherapy.html and it will introduce you to Gloss if you haven't already been to visit.

I operate from the northwest of Auckland, visit www.hypnotherapyplus.co.nz for more information about me. However there may be a registered & qualified Hypnotherapist in your area check at Hypnosis New Zealand's Hypnotherapist's Directory

FREE Hypnotherapists Directory Update
If you have a listing on the Hypnosis New Zealand Hypnotherapist's Directory would you please double check it for accuracy. Also, while you're there, take a look at the listing for others in your area and let me know if they have ceased practice so I can remove them. It's important the the listing is as up-to-date as possible - and is an accurate free service to Hypnotherapists and the public who is searching for them.

And, of course, if you are a NZ Hypnotherapist who would like to be listed there for free, there could be a whole lot of extra clients and referrals waiting for you. If you are an international Hypnotist/Hypnotherapist, there is a free listing available for you on my Hypnosis World directory so contact me with your details.

Call for Presenters - The Hypnosummit
Dear Colleague, in March of this year Scott Sandland and I launched the first virtual hypnosis continuing educational conference, the HypnoSummit.  It was an astounding success!  Even we underestimated the hypnosis/NLP professional's hunger for quality continuing education on a convenient schedule.

People took off from work so as not to miss a single lecture.  They stayed up late and got up early.  They were glued to their computer screens for as many hours as they could stay awake.  It was exciting and fresh.  It also filled a void in hypnosis/NLP information sharing and education.  When the videos came down from the servers three weeks later attendees were still asking for more time to watch!  And, they are still buzzing about what they learned today.

So, what could make this better?  You.  If you had been a presenter you could have shared your knowledge, enhanced your reputation, promoted your books, courses and trainings.  They could be buzzing about what you said and what you demonstrated.  So, why not become a presenter at the next HypnoSummit?

This email is your invitation to submit a proposal for the Sept. 19th and 20th HypnoSummit.  The HypnoSummit will air Sept. 19th and 20th, 2009 from 8am to 12pm (midnight) Eastern Time with a special one-half day workshop on the 21st.  You are being invited to submit a proposal for a1 hour lecture (45-59 minutes) and/or a two hour workshop. **Please understand that previous presenters will be given priority on two hour workshops. You can only be considered for a two hour workshop if all the slots are not filled by previous presenters.**

Presentations can be done by streaming live video (a lot easier than you think it is) or pre-recorded video. By pre-recording your presentation you can effectively clone yourself and be in two places at one time.  You can be holding a live workshop in the middle of Kansas and presenting across the world all at the same instant.  If you desire to do your presentation live the equipment cost are in the $150 range.  If you have a Mac, you already have this capability.

Deadline for proposal submission is July 20th.  Please submit your proposal to hypnosummit@gmail.com.  When you send your proposal please specify if you intend to pre-record your lecture or do it live and your time zone.  Every effort will be made to consider your time zone so that you are not doing a live presentation at 3am your time.

If you have any questions or concerns do not hesitate to call me at 205/837-2133 or send an email to hypnosummit@gmail.com
