June
Hypnotherapy Course Filling Fast!
2009 could
be the year for you to embark on a career in Hypnotherapy! You can
do it simply swiftly and efficiently with the Hypnosis New Zealand 5
Day Practical Hypnotherapy Training Course!
Registrations
are now being accepted for the 2nd 2009 course (June 1st - 5th) and it's
already filling fast, so please register your interest or intention
by completing and sending in a registration
form while there are still a places available! The course
is suitable for absolute beginners, or those who have a little experience
(perhaps
having previously done a home study course) and are ready to get serious
about Hypnotherapy! The course teaches Suggestive Hypnotherapy which
is as safe to practice, as it is easy to master.
The
5 days of tuition starts at the basics of Hypnotherapy and progresses right
through to understanding, practising and experiencing the mechanisms of
modern Suggestive Hypnotherapy. You will learn the optimum methods
for presenting your clients' subconscious minds with appropriately structured
suggestions that are easier to accept, store, recall and ultimately use,
for positive improvement. Suggestive Hypnotherapy is a safe, effective,
proven natural therapy, that more and more health professionals are referring
their clients to.
The
Hypnosis New Zealand 5 Day Practical Hypnotherapy Training Course is so
much more than just a lecture! It's a complete how to become
a Hypnotherapist course, that includes your own copy of Grant
Boddington's "MODERN CLINICAL HYPNOTHERAPY" manual, dozens of supportive
handouts and laminated assistance graphics! It features plenty of
demonstration, practice and discussion time - with the highlight of the
course being an afternoon of hands-on experience with
real clients
with real issues for you to practice your techniques on (under
my supervision of course).
It is an interactive,
fast-paced
and focused on Suggestive Hypnotherapy course. It's
Hypnotherapy you want to learn - and that's what I'm going to teach you!
On completion of the course and its accompanying open-book examination,
you will receive the Hypnosis New Zealand Diploma of Hypnotherapy
and should be well capable of setting up a Hypnotherapy business of your
own - legally and competently practising a wonderfully rewarding natural
therapy - with lifetime mentoring and support from myself.
If you'd like

Well
Done Kevin & Sarah
Congratulations
also to the several students from the recently completed March course who
made some personal life changes! Every course I run, there is much interaction
with the students practicing their Hypnotherapy techniques on each other
0- and at this one there were at least 4 significant lifechanging improvements.
Sarah and Kevin
are pictured here with the "congratulations" cake that Sarah baked to celebrate
her overcoming her fear of heights and Kevin quitting smoking. Sarah
took the train in on Tuesday morning and spent quite some time failing
to cross the pedestrian bridge - finally giving up, getting back on the
train, riding to the next station and taking a bus back to the course venue.
And in Kevin's case, he knew that of course a good Hypnotherapist should
be smokefree, so by Tuesday he had finished his last cigarette and remained
that way for the rest of the course with absolute determination comittment
to the change.
Within the
next few weeks, Kevin will
be setting up a Hypnotherapy practice in Christchurch and Sarah
will be setting up on Auckland's north shore. |
Fear of Heights
Radio Promotion
from Sue Leech
LISTEN
TO THE FULL RADIO INTERVIEW
Here is an excerpt from the lady
on the recording:
I had two sessions with O'Dette
where we worked with finding the root cause of her fear, her phobia
was not being able to look down from any height and consequently this had
expanded to mean that she could not fly and she has never been in a plane.
Last year her family went to Samoa for a holiday but she had to stay home
in New Zealand as the mere thought of going in a plane would cause anxiety.
When she left my clinic after the first session she was so excited that
she was looking forward to even thinking about where she could go to visit
family and friends in Australia and the pacific islands.
I received an email from her the
other day here are some extracts from that email. Confidentiality
precludes me from including the whole email however as she has already
broadcast live over the radio with her phobia and is going to be doing
so again with these comments sometime during the next week again on The
Breeze 93.40 with The Two Robbies.
"............I just wanted to touch
base with you about how I am going. ............... took the
time yesterday to go for a ride to One Tree Hill to see how I go.
I had no panic feelings but did have a nervous feeling in my tummy instead.
....................so am going to try lowering that lever to a lesser
awareness.......................
One AWESOME thing that did happen
was that I went onto a 5 story car park and was able to look directly over
the side to the ground without freaking out. That was so cool.
I even walked down the ramps around the outside of the building and was
fine with it. That is the first time I have ever been able to do
anything like that so am thrilled with that progress."
What more approval can we have -
happy satisfied clients who are back in charge of their environment and
enjoying life!
Lets keep up the good work its getting
exciting out there.

The
10 Steps to Happiness
From David Mason PhD www.hypknowsis.com
This list is the outcome of interviews
with thousands of happy people, people who are able to put a smile on their
face every day. The research was done in the UK trying to find what it
is that makes people happy, what happy people have in common. The results
are simple and surprising. Do each of these every day and you are on your
way to making yourself and those around you feel better all the time.
1. Plant something and nurture
it. Taking care of something living, something undemanding that grows
and changes is a way of rewarding yourself with progress. It can be a plant
or a pet, anything that you can nurture. Even a goldfish can put you back
in touch with nature.
2. Count your blessings - at least
five - at the end of each day. Go over all the good things that happened
today, reminding yourself of all the little things can make you feel good.
If you feel life is getting on top of you, write them down each night,
and then look them over at the end of the week. You will surprised at how
many good things happen to you.
3. Make time to talk - have an
hour-long conversation with a loved one each week. It doesn't
matter what you talk about, just make sure you get your weekly appointment
with someone close. Someone you can talk about how you feel, what you want,
and really listen to each other.
4. Phone a friend you haven’t
spoken to for a while and arrange to meet up. Happiness thrives on
human interaction. Keep your contacts alive by regularly sending a text,
or email them something interesting you saw on the Internet, or just call
to say hello. Before television invaded our homes, visiting other people
was the main social activity. Get into the habit of having a coffee with
someone, or go shopping together, anything that reinforces your friendship.
5. Give yourself a treat every
day and take the time to really enjoy it. Make sure you put a little
bit of joy into every day. No matter how stressed you are, or how busy
you are, you can always plan some little pleasure. Even if it is just a
cup of tea while you look out of the window, or a few minutes to yourself
in a busy day. You deserve a treat.
6. Have a good laugh at least
once a day. Laughter is the best medicine. Go out and have fun. Tune
in to a comedy or read a few pages of a light hearted book.
7. Get physical - exercise for
half an hour three times a week. Physical exercise keeps you healthy,
but also makes you happy. Go for a walk with the family after dinner, or
leave the car three blocks away and walk to work, join a dance class. It
is easy to put some exercise into your daily routines.
8. Smile at and/or say hello to
a stranger at least once each day. Practice smiling at people as you
walk along the street - you will be surprised at how many smile back. Say
hello the moment you enter a lift, you can make a new friend. Modern society
has separated people, even a little encouragement can go a long way towards
building social networks.
9. Cut your TV viewing by half.
TV
viewing is essentially solitary and prevents people from doing other things.
Much of TV is good, but it can become a default behaviour and grow to dominate
free time. Dare to turn it off for a night.
10. Spread some kindness - do
a good turn for someone every day. Giving other people a little pleasure
means you get a good feeling too. Why not contribute a little to that feeling
of community by making someone else’s day? You never know, it might be
your turn tomorrow.

Does
a Real Name Really Matter?
from Margaret Parker, Registered
Master Hypnotist
At the recent supervision training
session I attended, something happened that caused me to relate a client
story. The story is that a young man phoned and requested an appointment.
Ok.
I asked him his name and he refused
to give this to me. Ok.
However I told him that this was
not necessary as I was a Hypnotherapist. Ok.
We discussed hypnosis costs and time
required and made the appointment. Ok.
Now I had a young male client without
name or contact but had secured an appointment. Ok.
I turned up for the appointment and
so did he. Ok.
He filled in his intake sheet and
did not want to disclose his name or contact. That too was Ok.
I explained he could give me an alias
and then I could use this name to communicate. This too Ok
A client can give an alias without
even informing me and I would be none the wiser.
The session went well. An hour
or two later he phoned me and asked if he had left his van keys as he had
lost them. He had needed to leave the house in a hurry and normally
he would have done his narna at all within earshot - wife and kiddies mainly
- this time he just grunted and used his car conversion skills and drove
away. Ok.
He duly turned up for his second
session. Great.
I picked up his form and used the
alias. He gently reached over and with two big strokes crossed out
the alias and wrote his real name, contact and we then started the session
which went great....
This young man has on a couple of
occasions called in to thank me for all I did for him and let me know where
he is at. Who me? His business is now running sweet. He contemplated
crossing the ditch, but the thought of selling up his happy home and moving
his wife and family (both under five) was not that exciting.
He was very pleased and proud of
his achievements - another happy ending!
When I related this story, some queried:
Where did I source my clients? Does it really matter?
